A Sense of Place: Provence, Gabi’s part-time home, has become an enduring influence on her creative practice. Its gardens and old villages, faded textiles and timeworn surfaces, changing light and abundant plant life have deepened her attention to place—and to the quiet details that give a place its character.
While her work is not exclusively about Provence, living there has shaped the way she observes, gathers, preserves, and makes. It is both a home and a muse: a place that continually reminds her to look closely and create a record of what she finds.
